Commercial Calamity

Another stuck truck in Currituck.

Moving a monster

We took a call from Hydrostructures this week who had managed to get one of their trucks stuck while they were out doing some engineering work in Carova. We instantly knew that one tow truck wouldn’t be enough for a job like this.

Driving on sand in anything is particularly challenging, let alone in a 27,000lbs tanker. One of the truck’s axles was literally touching the ground it had gotten in so deep. We could tell that the driver had done his best to try and free his truck, however a job like this is no easy feat and some professional assistance was needed, especially with such a heavy tanker.

Another happy customer

Luckily for the Hydrostructure guys, we were able to free the truck within just 30 minutes and get it back on a kinder surface. The recovery required two of our tow trucks and some careful winching.

If you get your commercial vehicle stuck on the beach, no matter how big your rig is – call North Beach Recovery for a fast, professional towing service.
