What time do you open?

We’re available 24/7 for emergency call-outs including lockouts, tow-outs, accident recovery, breakdowns, flat tires / wheel changes, roadside repairs, jump starts, beach taxi rides, large / heavy equipment transportation, marine recovery and winching.

How do I pay for your services?

We try to make it quick and convenient for you to pay for our services. Cash or credit card are the best ways to say ‘thank you’. We usually ask you for a card number before we come to assist you – although we won’t charge you before we’ve finished the work. This allows us to book your job in.

Do you have any flatbed trucks?

We have several types of trailers and trucks at our disposal. The flatbed is always available to get you where you need to go.

How much do you charge your services?

We’re unable to provide a price list, as each job is unique. Some customers are close to our headquarters, while others are much further afield. The time of day, equipment used, amount of vehicles needed and the number of staff required for each rescue operation are all variables which affect the final bill.

How long have you been in business?

North Beach Recovery was established in 1994, so a long time! We’ve seen it all during our career, so you get to tap into a wealth of knowledge and experience, which makes each job an efficient success.

Do you do winching?

We sure do! All of our trucks have front and rear winches installed. In addition to the winches, they also have truck-mounted loader cranes / HIAB arms on the back for moving heavy and stuck vehicles & equipment.

Are you a qualified company?

Over the years our staff have attained several qualifications to show that they are able and competent enough to perform the work advertised. Some of these certifications and qualifications can be seen here.

Can you move motorcycles too?

We have the trailers to transport motorcycles. ATV’s, UTV’s and light & heavy equipment. Additionally, we offer competitive rates on long distance haulage & transportation services.

Are you able to store my vehicle?

Yes, we have a secure compound where you can keep your vehicle if it needs to be moved, or if you need somewhere safe to carry out repair work. We have one on North Beach Corolla. and one on Knotts Island.

Do you work with insurance companies?

North Beach Recovery deals with many small independents and many of the large leading insurance companies. We can work with them to arrange payments for certain jobs to take away some of the hassle. Please contact us for more information.

I have a large family, can you accomodate us all?

Sure, most of our vehicles can fit several passengers in. If you have a large family, please contact us and let us know. We’re able to run several cars / trucks when needed. If you need somewhere to stay on the beach, we also offer long and short term lettings for holidays and emergencies.

Are you insured?

We are fully insured to protect against damage and mishaps. Insurance documentation is available on request, and can be provided by our team in person, or by a member of staff via e-mail.

What areas do you cover?

We’re based in Corolla, but have secondary offices over in Knotts Island and Virginia. Our coverage area stretches many miles from as far South as Kill Devil Hills (NC) to Virginia Beach (VA). The vast majority of our work is focused on Carova North Beach.

Do you take vehicles out of State?

Sometimes tourists who have traveled from other states to holiday on the Outer Banks (OBX), need to deliver their vehicle back home. We have all the trucks and trailers available to make this possible.

I found a new car / truck on eBay, can you collect?

If you’ve found a new car, truck, van / tracked vehicle / motorcycle / UTV or ATV online, and would like us to bring it straight to your doorstep, we’ll make it happen. Contact us for prices on vehicle transportation services.
